PRIVACY, VISIBILITY AND ANONYMITY: DILEMMAS IN TECH USE BY MARGINALISED COMMUNITIES | Tactical Technology Collective

Over the last two years, and with support from Making All Voices Count, Tactical Tech has been researching how marginalised technology users in Kenya and South Africa negotiate visibility and anonymity through mobile phones, popular social media, and messaging applications. A full synthesis report, based on interviews with close to 70 LGBTQ activists in Kenya and housing and land rights activists in South Africa, has now been released.
