Summary:

Overview

"To fulfil the aims of the conference we have handpicked speakers to reflect the broad application of Open Research. Clarity was also important to our aim of properly addressing suboptimal research practice and cultural norms"

The conference was separated into the following sections:

The problem defined. Speakers present on common issues and barriers that undermine the quality and credibility of our research. These include fraud, questionable research practices, publication bias, and inappropriate incentives.

The problem solved. Speakers discuss top-down and bottom-up initiatives and solutions that can be implemented by researchers and educators, providing evidence on how they have benefited research and research culture.

A roundtable discussion. Panel composed of funders and initiatives promoting and supporting Open Research."

The programme includes additional resources and links to Open Research initiatives.
