Summary:

Warsaw University of Technology and the Medical University of Wroclaw plan to create an open information platform – Polish Medical Platform. Its will provide open access to publications and research data in the areas of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, public health, occupational health and safety, ergonomics and health protection. The platform will be powered by the OMEGA-PSIR software, developed by the Institute of Computer Science, Warsaw University of Technology. The software has so far been used in 20 universities and research organizations in Poland. OMEGA-PSIR software is fully functional software combining the functions of CRIS (Current Research Information System) and institutional repositories.

The project is implemented by eight research organizations (seven universities and one research institute): Medical University of Wroclaw, Medical University of Bialystok, Medical University of Gdansk, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Medical University of Lublin, Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, Warsaw Medical University and the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz.
