Paola Galimberti has made public on Zenodo.org a short article, Open Science: cambiamento culturale cercasi, to offer a reasoned account of the way in which the University of Milan has pursued and is pursuing the opening of science.

The discussion on Paola Galimberti's article, prior to its publication, is reported here both because it falls within our open peer-review practice, and because those who participated in it are convinced that the question of open science, if emancipated from the bureaucratic logic, could help revisit the meaning and role of the university.
